I just got off the phone with the recreation supervisor at MPS and he just re-assured me that I will have two positions this summer. One that will be running soccer mini-camps once a day for 3.5 hours a day. And the second position will be assisting with T-ball and "coach-pitcher" games from 5-8:30pm. Both will only run Monday thru Thursday. It was great news, but I feel like I was barely able to tell anyone, I got a hold of my mom though. Just waitin' for my 4:00pm class right now. That's all for now

Just sitting here tryin' to enjoy some vacation. Just had an einstein's double choco-chip bagel with a coffee,...ahhh, the good life. Watchin' some music videos and just tryin to figure what I might do today. On another note, I will be starting my soccer referree job this month, I can't wait. It is going to be outdoor games at a couple of southside parks, and its going to be 1st thru 3rd graders, so not too intense. Also, just so I don't forget, I recently won second place in a march madness bracket game. I split the winnings with Alyssa cause she picked the major upset team that no one else did, I was able to get my Adidas Samba's with the winnings :)

It is officially second day of week 8, and I it is coming down to the final battle. Natural reaction in these situations is to typically let the built up momentum take me the rest of the way,
but I can't do this. This quarter is going great. I have gotten straight
A's in THREE of my classes. That is simply unheard of
around here, I love it. Two classes are just "eh"
right now, but thats ok too, cause I can
possibly get one of those to a
B-minus. Going to work

Gettin ready for my last class of the day/week. Saturday going to comedy sports with Alyssa and her "crew" lol, should be fun. Tomorrow probably gonna have lonnnggg study day, oh well. Classes are goin good, just learned about linear momentum and impulse today in dynamics, pretty sweet stuff. Also, I fell like I am ready for this Calculus 4 test coming up on monday, I even corrected the teacher after class, I think that's a good sign. TTYL

3 YEARS!!!!

I have now competed, officially, 1/3 of my education (just two years and $60,000 to go). My winter quarter is going pretty well. I am understanding physics for the first time since,....forever. Its funny that it is the more complex physics that I understand though. Calculus 4 is a breeze right now. I will not be interning for GE Healthcare this summer, however, I have several possible prospects already under way. I am applying to do some undergraduate research here at MSOE this summer. It comes with $3713 in stipend money, and travel allowance, and great experience for the resume :). I have some other contacts that I going to get a hold of as well, some at Rockwell Automation, and at HGA architecture and engineering. The biggest news,.....ITS GONNA BE 3 YEARS, me and Alyssa will have been together for a grand total of 3 years on the 20th of January, crazy huh?, time flies when your in love. Thats it for now, gotta get back to work :)

Last week of the first quarter at MSOE. Gotta tell ya,.....it feels GOOD. School has been challenging, but the sick thing is that I don't mind it. Take away the numbered grades and I'd love it, lol. Anyways, I feel like school has been making me vey strong internally because it has thrown so many curve balls, and even though it feels like most of them have hit me "where it hurts" (use your imagination) they have really strengthened my perseverance. Growing up is rough stuff, I technically dont what "growing up" exactly looks or feels like, but if I had to make a good guess, what I am going through now is gettin' pretty close to it. Here's to staying positive.....

Its been a while....

It has been a while since I have posted any updates. School has been very.....interesting (I will stay positive, I hear its good for my health). I am enjoying all of my courses very well right now, a little math, physics, some computer programming. The issue at times is the crazy roller coaster of emotions they take me on. At one moment I can be grasping at the edge of "just getting by", and at other times it feels like I wanna just "bottle" the succeeding moment to remember during my tough times. I try to remember that it is a good training for life in general. That even though you give your all until you don't know how, sometimes certain days just won't go as well as you'd hoped. The up side is that there are other days when that hard work turns out to be a great investment. I find it intriguing most times because I have found that I actually find out that I learn more about myself during those trying times. I try to talk to God frequently. I try to let him know that I am looking for that purposeful lining, that connecting point between failures and wisdom.

Hello y'all, just thought I'd give a short 411 on "mi vida". Today, in my statics course our class got a pop quiz. I was semi-freakin out just because it was the first test I had ever taken with this professor so I really didn't know what they were like. Turns out that I have actually been learning something in that class. I went through the quiz in no time without any issues....AWESOME. Then, after that, I went to my Differential Equations class where a quiz was returned to me. I got a 14/15!!!!,...OHH YEAHH!!, nothing big though :P Then, I went to my programming class where I thought was going to be a struggle because we were writing a program that solved simultaneous linear equations. But it actually turned out to be a breeze, and almost kinda fun. That's all though......sleep time, catch ya later!

I just could not wait to let out my excitement about this. I just got an email back from a professor in my computer programming class. He is a stickler for the formatting of the reports, so I was a bit worried. What I did was read, and read, and re-read, and re-read this paper to make sure everything was good. I even did a dry run through to "grade" myself". The lab reports are 50 pts each. In the emailed response, he tells me I got a 50/50!!!!!!. Yes,..but I didn't want to go around the house screaming it, cause I did not want to appear cocky, so I decided to "scream" it to the world through my blog. That was it, I'm good now...Have a good day/night!

Some fun stuff going on right now. I am gonna move in the rest of my dorm stuff, and Alyssa said that she would help me decorate it tonight. I have a feeling it is going to look pretty sweet. I bought some posters, one being the awesome one of the Joker from the Dark Knight movie. Also, I got an idea to draw on my loft posts with my paint markers. It looks pretty sweet. I will be posting pics of what it looks like in the end. A little anxious for school to start, I am hopeful that I can build upon what I learned from last year and use it to raise my metaphorical "bar" up a couple of notches. We shall see, only time will tell.

The final week of summer is halfway through, crazy stuff. I am pretty much ready for school. Its semi-fun getting ready for school, until I start thinking about the endless hours of my life sucked dry by the parasite that calls itself "homework". Not excited, yet not dreading it, it just is. I have a big goal this year of trying to attain organizational skills, it is the final piece to the puzzle. If I could just get that down, I could achieve anything. It won't be easy, but I am willing to take on the challenge.Tip of the day: You caaan dooooo it!!

Exercised a little, mowed the lawn (in the blistering heat), went for a bike ride, ate some tacos, and watched some TV. I feel like I was very active today,...it felt good. I am kinda anxious to get some rest tonight, especially cause I moved around so much,...I 'm gonna fall like a rock. Tip of the day: Exercising can be sucky, tolerable, and sometimes even fun. But in the end, it always makes you feel good about yourself,..so go!, put your therapist out of business let exercise make you feel better for free, lol. (Disclaimer: I usually have no idea what I am talking about, lol, so I cannot be blamed for any harm done by way of my daily tips, remember these are only tips not commands :)

The Oriental Theater is AWESOME, the inside was so classy, definitely going there again. Volleyball was a good old time, the other team didn't show up, so we just played a boys against girls match with everyone that was there. Me Mr. Smooth went for a ball that was heading toward the rubber matted wall,..... I completely force-fed myself a volleyball straight to the face and my glasses soared off of my face, I'm sure this was entertaining to my fellow teamates. For me, it just felt like I was back in middle school when I got a basketball passed,..straight to my face, I try to supress these kinds of things. (500) days of Summer was a pretty sweet flick, I approve. Now I am awaiting a family BBQ with the cousins. But that is 8 hours away,..and I already checked my facebook and twitter, what else is there to do in this world,..jk. okay,..so maybe I should start reading my stuff before I post it out for the world to see, sorry about the jakk'd up post yesterday. It is freakin' hot today, at least it wasn't as steamy as yesterday. The massive water balloon/water hose fight with the fam' helped to make things a little more bearable. Gonna do some bar-b-q-ing with the amigos later on, should be swell. STATE FAIR tomorrow baby, cannot wait!! I am going to eat till my insides erupt, (sorry for the mental visual). Hopin' to eat a brownie the size of my face at some point during the day. Tip of the day: I find it very useful to figure what the truly important things in life are, and then go from there,....Oh yeah, btw, The pic above was taken after the waterfight today at my cousin Austyn's b-day party. Yep, its August now. Just finishing up my internship and getting ready to start-up another at MSOE. I have tiny feeling it is going to pretty intense this year,...but I'm ready. Bring it on computer programming, you don't scare me :) Anyways,..this summer has been pretty gnarly. Been hangin' out with Alyssa and havin' lots of fun. We had the best time in Door County together. Alyssa and me went bike riding in Fish creek, WI, and had a blast just driving down the endless country roads, blasting the music and pretending we could actually sing,...it was great. I think summer has brought great things, but I believe this school year is going to bring even better memories. I have learned so much this summer about the "real-world" during the internship, and its not too bad. It's been a big learning experience, learning that communication is a huge part of the business. But that there isn't a consistent formula to it all, EVERYONE is different, no one person is the same. It's like you're pressing reset every time you meet someone new because you have no idea what they will respond to, I find it extremely intriguing and,.... I'm digging it.
